Auto Glass Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, Estes Park, Northern Colorado, Cheyenne and Laramie, WY.

Nice Car Inc. now offers Auto Glass Repair and Replacement for any and all makes and models. Whether you own an antique or the newest vehicle on the road, we can get the job done correctly the first time.

Auto Glass is probably the least thought about automotive safety device. The windshield is one of the main supports for the roof in the event of a roll over accident, the passenger airbag uses it to keep the passenger safe and keeps road debris out. The windshield also helps keep the interior cool and keeps the weather out. Why let just anyone put in your windshield or install an inferior product?
Our auto glass installer is certified as a Master Installer by the National Glass Association. With over 18 years experience our installer has the expertise to make sure every installation is done right the first time. Combined with factory training on various adhesive systems, there is no question your vehicle is in great hands.
Nice Car Inc is also concerned about safety. We are complying with safety guidelines set forth by the AGRSS Council. The Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council has very strict rules to ensure every installation is done completely and correctly.
What is AGRSS?
AGRSS is an accredited American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards development organization. It has developed the North America's only auto glass replacement standard, the AGRSS standard (ANSI/AGRSS 002-2002 Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard). The AGRSS Standard addresses procedures, education and product performance.
MISSION STATEMENT:
· To make every auto glass replacement safer by:
· Developing and maintaining standards for the replacement of auto glass
· Educating and accrediting the industry
· Promoting awareness of the AGRSS Standard to the insurance industry and driving public at large.
When the need to have auto glass replaced arises, ask these questions of the shop before giving them the job.
· Are you an AGRSS-Registered Company?
· Do you use o.e. (original equipment) or o.e.-equivalent glass?
· Do all the materials you use meet or exceed ANSI Z 26.1 and all pertinent Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards?
· Does your adhesive manufacturer certify you, and who is the manufacturer of the adhesive?
· What type of warranty can I expect?
· How soon after my glass is replaced will I be able to use my vehicle?
We will not let any vehicle leave our shop until the Safe Drive Away Time (SDAT) has been reached. This is critical to the functionality of the passenger’s airbag. We care about your safety!
Don’t let this happen to you:
On July 17, 1982, in Colorado, George Miller was driving a truck manufactured by General Motors Corporation (GMC) when another vehicle collided with the left rear of the truck, causing it to jump a curb and strike a metal light pole. The truck's windshield, which had been installed by a Solaglas facility in Colorado, "popped out" and Miller was ejected through the opening. The resulting injuries rendered Miller a quadriplegic.
Miller sued Solaglas in Colorado, seeking both compensatory and punitive damages. Solaglas tendered the defense to its liability carrier, Transamerica Insurance Company (Transamerica), which had issued policies totaling $1.5 million. Transamerica agreed to defend Solaglas, but it informed Solaglas that the insurance policies did not provide indemnity coverage for punitive damages.
Settlement efforts were unsuccessful, and a jury trial in Colorado resulted in a judgment for Solaglas, but this judgment was reversed on appeal. Miller then offered to settle for an amount within the limits of Solaglas's liability coverage. Transamerica turned down Solaglas's requests to accept the settlement offer. Thereafter, a second jury trial resulted in a judgment against Solaglas for $6.1 million ($5.1 million in compensatory damages and $1 million in punitive damages). Solaglas appealed. *
